Ganglion Cysts in Brampton
Ganglion cysts arise from inflammation of the synovium (tissue that is around joints and tendons). Ganglion cysts contain a thick clear gel and are usually bulbous with a stalk like attachment to the joint or tendon. The cysts occur when fluid leaks from the joint or tendon and causes persistent localized swelling at the joint. The cysts may also cause tenderness. There is no identifiable cause for ganglion cysts, but trauma or arthritis may influence them. Ganglion cysts are benign.
