Find Out If a Rhinoplasty Will Be Right for You
What Is Rhinoplasty?
Reshaping the nose is the most common cosmetic surgery across the world. This is partially due to the procedure’s range of purposes.
Cosmetic nose surgery can be done to:
- Reduce or increase nose size
- Change the shape of the nose tip or bridge
- Narrow nostril span
- Alter the angle between the nose and upper lip
Plastic nose surgery can also be done to fix an injury or birth defect, as well as relieve breathing problems.
What to Expect Before and After Rhinoplasty
Before the procedure, most candidates simply look to improve nose appearance. However, Dr. Sleightholm also performs it to address uncomplicated nasal problems.
After nose surgery, patients can look forward to an attractively-shaped nose that is proportioned to other facial features.
The final result typically becomes clear in about a year, though that will vary between patients. It takes roughly this amount of time for tissue to soften and swelling to subside.

Patients will leave the clinic with an external split. Dr. Sleightholm usually removes it in a week. Bruising and swelling disappears within two weeks.
